Dr. Shutter is the Medical Director of the Neurovascular and Neurotrauma ICUs at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). She leads the development of the Neurocritical Care Program and cares for patients with complex neurological conditions. A participant in the prestigious ELAM Fellowship, she has been recognized for her leadership and contributions to academic medicine. Her research efforts include leading projects such as the SHINE study and NETT Network, while also mentoring neurology residents interested in neurocritical care.
