• Dr. Carron, MD, PhD, is an associate professor and functional neurosurgeon at the Department of Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery at Timone University Hospital in Marseille, France. Trained under Professor A.L. Benabid in Grenoble and further specializing in Gamma Knife radiosurgery, Dr. Carron has deep expertise in treating epilepsy, movement disorders, and trigeminal neuralgia through advanced neurosurgical techniques. His practice centers on functional stereotactic interventions, including SEEG and VNS for epilepsy, deep brain stimulation (DBS) for movement disorders, and general neurosurgery procedures, such as tumor resection and VP shunts. His doctoral research focused on early cortical synchronization in a Parkinson’s disease model, exploring the effects of high-frequency stimulation on the cortico-subthalamic hyperdirect pathway.

    • Mechanisms and effects of high-frequency stimulation in movement disorders, particularly Parkinson's disease.

    • Stereotactic techniques in epilepsy surgery, including the use of SEEG and VNS.

    • Gamma Knife radiosurgery applications for non-invasive treatment of neural conditions.
