Spine Endoscopic Surgery Establishment for Disc Disease (SENSE-D)

  • Endoscopic spine surgery (ESS) is increasingly used for the treatment of disc disease (DD), whether it is cervical, thoracic, or lumbar. Variable definitions and outcome measures are used to report associated experiences, leading to considerable heterogeneity in the literature.

  • To provide consensus-based reporting guidelines defining a core outcome set for studies considering ESS for DD (cervical, thoracic & lumbar).

  • 3-round survey using the Delphi method to build inclusive consensus between spine surgeons.
